Contoocook Chamber of Commerce member spotlight is shining on Indigo Blues & Co. today!
Indigo Blues & Co. opened it’s doors October of 2012 as a small jeans boutique featuring a limited selection of moderately priced Silver Jeans, a sampling of jeans from West Coast designer Rikka Korff and two styles from Adriano Goldschiend Jeans, just three sparkly represented brands. These jeans were meant to highlight the jewelry and belts from Concord jewelry designer Molly Brandt and her Beadorable Designs collection. From this small 296 sq ft room, owner LeeAnne Vance and designer Molly Brandt grew the business into a thriving women’s clothing business located in the heart of the quaint village of Contoocook. Now down the block from her original store, LeeAnne and her amazing group of staff women have filled the larger space with many more jeans’ brands and ever changing styles. In addition to jeans, this little treasure trove has neat items from national jewelry brands like Uno de 50 as well as Sutton, NH Silversmith, Erica Walker. Hometown girl Alice Saunders has a selection of her printed ESPACE Canvas Utility bags. Alice’s company Forestbound Original Bag Company has reached the world with her folksy brand though her company is located in Massachusetts.
Once described as a laid-back boutique t’s true they don’t cater to the frilly, but Indigo Blues & Co. likes to think of itself as having clothes you can wear every day to feel confident. You know, what-ever looks great with your jeans!! Even though they do carry the staple of every New Hampshire gal, plaid, they also have great looking items for city chic, a bit of boho and the newly popular athleisure wear. At Indigo Blues & Co. it’s more about the right fit and listening to our client’s needs so we can find what works for them. On Fridays the gals open a bottle of wine (or two) and invite all to join them for a sip, some friendly banter and a way to relax in anticipation of a weekend well-deserved.
Located in the historical Village of Contoocook, the shop is right next door to the world’s oldest covered train bridge. The store itself is well-appointed, the on-trend grey walls and jauntily angled wood shelves hold a wide array of ageless clothing. Mixing in antique fixtures to give it it’s New England village quaintness, this store has items from hats to shoes. Classic leather boots and bags from The Frye Company. An international appeal with Fly London shoes and sandals. West coast boho chic tops from Johnny Was. Open seven days a week, Indigo Blues & Co is in good company in the village with a nice collection of fun shops to visit and restaurants to sample.
