We all face challenges in life and there are times when establishing a relationship with a counselor can make a positive difference during difficult times. Psychotherapy and counseling may offer an opportunity for gaining insight, promoting personal growth or experiencing healing from trauma or loss.
I believe therapy actually begins when the decision to seek help is made. Taking action by reaching out to a therapist may be the single most important step in the therapeutic process. It requires tremendous courage and strength. I focus on creating an environment of trust, respect, and open communication to encourage the emergence of self-awareness, inner strength, and positive change. I work with pre-adolescents, adolescents, adults, and families using an eclectic approach that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. I specialize in working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction and substance abuse, interpersonal problems, and recovery from trauma or abuse.
